Watch 10-Year-Old Trans Girl Speak Out About Her Transition And Her New Life As A Girl!

A 10-year-old transgender girl that “media warned you about” has now spoken out and shared her story including the struggles she had to go through during her transition into who she’s always felt like.
Rebekah Bruesehoff was only years old when she and her parents noticed she wasn’t like other children of her age. Despite being born a boy, Rebekah loved to do girlish things and pretend to be a female by wearing girly clothes.
As years passed by, the then-boy became depressed over the fact that he was stuck in his body despite him feeling like a girl on the inside. At the lowest point in his life, he even attempted to take his own life.
After Rebekah’s family, including her dad who is a pastor, came to understand and accept that their son was actually a girl, however, the child’s life turned around for the better. Suddenly, now-she became more cheerful than ever as she was allowed to do all the girly stuff she always craved.
“I’m the scary transgender person that the media warned you about!” Rebekah wrote on a sign she wielded while attending a rally to campaign for transgender people’s rights with her mother, Jamie Bruesehoff, who is now her biggest supporter.
“I want to make a difference in the world by speaking out and spreading hopeful messages,” the 10-year-old said.
“The picture went pretty crazy viral. It started out with some really wonderful comments and lots of affirmation, but if I keep scrolling a comment says ‘This whole transgender issue is a mental illness but because it’s ‘cool’ you have parents forcing their kids into it,’” Jamie added.
“We haven’t had anyone in our community or families say that we are pushing this on to her but we have had that through social media and my blog, that go as far to say that it is child abuse and we should have our children taken away.
“Luckily, every medical professional we’ve seen says otherwise, so we feel confident that we have the best resources we can and we are supporting her the best way that we can.”
Speaking of her life stuck in a boy’s body, little Rebekah said:
“The hardest part of all this was when I wasn’t transitioned and I was not happy and it didn’t feel right. Before I became a girl, I felt unhappy.
“This is definitely me. I am a girl. I am a girl in my head, in my heart.”
