A bobtail truck was spotted driving on the highway with a single pack of toilet paper attached to its back.
As the coronavirus outbreak was declared a global pandemic, people all around the world have started shopping frantically amid fears that grocery stores could run out of supplies.
While shoppers were previously seen fighting over toilet paper in supermarkets, one truck driver has stepped up the game by transporting a single package of toilet paper.
As seen in the photos, the toilet paper package was carefully strapped to the back of the truck as it was driving on a highway just off London.
“I have seen it all now, keep your load safe,” 48-year-old Lee Thompson, who recorded the bizarre moment, wrote online as he shared the footage.
“I nearly wet myself, what a funny thing to see on the back of a lorry when supermarket shelves are empty. Should have had an armed escort,” the traffic manager added.
After the incident went viral, people couldn’t help but find the moment hilarious.
“People go to great lengths to protect what they love the most,” someone joked.
“I hope he installed security cameras, someone might snatch it when he comes to a full stop,” another one said.
Previously, a van driver in the area was stopped and fined after overloading the vehicle with toilet paper.
“This van driver was taking stocking up on toilet and kitchen rolls to the extreme. We stopped this vehicle at Blackwall Tunnel and found it was more than a ton overweight,” the authorities explained as they shared a picture of the overloaded van.
“The driver is £300 lighter from the fine we issued him. Keeping you safe #toiletrollcrisis.”
