True Detective writer Nic Pizzolatto and Matthew McConaughey are reuniting for a new show on FX.
The pair that is already a blaster pair is set up again to work on and create a new series called Redeemer which is based on a novel called ‘The Churchgoer’ by a debut writer Patrick Coleman.
The last time the two worked together, it was a major hit. The pair had worked in the first season of True detective together in which Woody Harrelson was Mathew’s co-actor.
This new show is nothing like True detective. The main lead in the show is going to be played by Mathew where he is a pastor who gives up his vocation for the most absurd reason. He does it to become a security guard.
After turning into a security guard, he goes out in search of a woman that takes him to his past. This search takes him to a criminal conspiracy reveling that is beyond his brains and his pay scale. You can only guess for now what the conspiracy is.
The show is being produced by Fox 21 along with FX.
Pizzolatto, “I am so excited to work with Mathew again. We had good times before. I am also thrilled by the opportunity that has come my way.
I would love to create something for Fox 21 and FX.”
We are yet not sure if the show has any resemblance to True Detective or not but if it has in any way, it is surely going to be a better version and will receive so much more success then the first project the two had together.
The news has already gotten me very excited. I wish we had more information on the new show but we hardly have any. But when you need a great fruit, you have to wait for it to ripe and so we will wait with all our excitement.
