“It’s been an amazing four years. We are trying to do another four years,” Trump said as he spoke to the cheering crowd, The Associated Press reported. “Otherwise, I’ll see you in four years.”

The announcement came to light after former Oklahoma Republican Party Chair Pam Pollard live-streamed the event during which a great number of people were seen listening to the president inside the White House.

As seen in the footage, many attendants failed to wear a face mask and socially distance throughout the event.

In his speech, Trump went on to insist that the election was rigged despite top officials confirming there is no evidence of widespread fraud.

“It’s certainly an unusual year. We won an election, but they don’t like that. I call it a rigged election, and I always will,” he said.

As The Associated Press reported, Attorney General William Barr contradicted Trump as he confirmed that the Justice Department hadn’t found any evidence implying there was widespread voter fraud. The AG’s comments came prior to the Christmas reception at the White House.

“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election,” Barr told The Associated Press.
