President Donald Trump has responded to the Democrats’ criticism and insisted that his administration is doing “a great job of handling coronavirus.
”
In his strike at the critics, Mr. Trump has bragged about zero coronavirus-related deaths in the US and defended the steps the government has taken to ensure the safety of the American people.
“CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus, including the very early closing of our borders to certain areas of the world. It was opposed by the Dems, ‘too soon,’ but turned out to be the correct decision,” Trump wrote in his tweet.
“No matter how well we do, however, the Democrats talking point is that we are doing badly. If the virus disappeared tomorrow, they would say we did a really poor, and even incompetent, job. Not fair, but it is what it is. So far, by the way, we have not had one death. Let’s keep it that way!”
While no confirmed Covid-19 deaths have taken place in the country as of this writing, the number of confirmed cases has already risen to 57.
After top experts from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced the spread of the disease in the States was now just a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if,’ San Francisco became the first city to declare emergency situation despite having no confirmed cases.
According to the city’s government, the state of emergency was declared “as a necessary step to protect residents from harm.”
