Donald Trump has reportedly gone to a court in Florida recently where he made it a point that he wants his Twitter account back.
Yes, the former US commander in chief was quick to mention to a Federal judge how enough was enough and that meant he was in no mood of taking Twitter’s excuse of leaving his account suspended.
Trump reportedly did everything he could to try and convince a Federal judge about how he was being denied freedom of speech because his Twitter account was blocked. But that wasn’t all.
Trump also spoke about how it was really unfair for the giant social media platform to go about suspending his account until further notice because he felt they were strongly under the influence of other Congress members and that’s why they had no choice but to remove him from the platform.
The former US President has been a very vocal member when it comes to the world of politics and he claims that he Tweets the reality, whether it’s friends, family members, or his own contenders. Moreover, Trump has millions of fans and supporters and he strongly feels they’re being deprived by Twitter’s unfair decision.
But it’s not only Twitter that has kept a ban on Donald Trump. Just days after Twitter announced its decision, Facebook was close to following in its footsteps, banning Trump too.
Donald Trump’s Twitter account was suspended on January 8th, which is exactly two days after the horrifying January 6th riots took place in Washington DC, a day that many refer to as one of the darkest moments in the country’s history.
A large group of MAGA supporters marched and stormed the Capitol building, leaving many in absolute shock and awe. Therefore, Twitter had no choice but to ban the former president as it felt viewers needed to be safeguarded before the platform took a turn for the worst- a democratic debate.
