On Monday morning, Mr. Obama started a heated debate on social media after tweeting a picture of his signature laid on what is believed to be the Recovery Act the former president signed back in 2009.

Claiming that he is responsible for the economic boom seen both during his as well as Trump’s administration, Obama wrote:

“Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history.”

After the tweet went viral, Trump called Obama’s comments a “con job” and responded in a series of tweets claiming America would be in big trouble in the Dems won back in 2016.

“He had the WEAKEST recovery since the Great Depression, despite Zero Fed Rate & MASSIVE quantitative easing. NOW, best jobs numbers ever.”

Adding to the debate, the POTUS tweeted:

“Had to rebuild our military, which was totally depleted. Fed Rate UP, taxes and regulations WAY DOWN. If Dems won in 2016, the USA would be in big economic (Depression?) & military trouble right now. THE BEST IS YET TO COME. KEEP AMERICA GREAT!”
