A turnout surge was celebrated by the Democrats on this Super Tuesday.
This huge turnout of votes shows how people are significantly more interested in most of the states in comparison to the previous years because at least 100,000 more votes were cast on Super Tuesday 2020 in comparison to Super Tuesday 2016.
Republican turnout, however, was not so great in comparison to the Democrats even though Donald Trump is mostly running unopposed this time.
Joe Walsh, talk show host, and a great supporter of Trump who was also a competitor had withdrawn his name several weeks ago.
Bill Weld, the former Libertarian vice-presidential, was Trump’s only competitor who only secured bout 2% of the votes in the earlier count for the contest.
This indifferent trend started in New Hampshire with Trump receiving about 129,000 votes —which was a massive amount of votes for sure because it was more than former presidents George W. Bush’s votes and Barack Obama’s votes both had received for their re-election.
It seems like in recent years people have started believing in Trump and even if they are not vocal about it he is receiving a lot of support and votes.
In Texas alone, Republicans have cast about double as many votes in 2020 for Trump as they had cast in 2016 for Obama.
Something that was really astounding was that Trump alone received more than the total number of votes all the 2020 Democratic candidates have received together marking it as a great achievement for him.
As per the reports, the Democratic candidates in a combined total have received 1,621,621 votes with 82% of the voters casting their vote.
On the other hand, President Trump has received 1,742,750 votes all alone out of the 82% of voting recorded.
