“We’re very, very ready for this,” he added.

Appearing in Brady Briefing room, Trump declared that he was giving the charge of the state’s response to the potential pandemic threat to Vice President Mike Pence.

However, at the same time, he also denounced the rumors that he had made Pence a “czar” for the state’s response to the epidemic.

Trump made it clear one more time that the “threat to the American public remains low.”

Following the president, Pence said: “We will continue to bring the full resources of the federal government … to see to the health and well-being and to the effective response to the coronavirus in the United States of America.”

Trump has announced a $2.5 billion plan to counter the virus. At his briefing, Trump said: “We’re going to spend whatever is appropriate.”

Trump also talked about the collapse of markets due to the wave of fear generated by Coronavirus. He, however, added that this might just as well be due to the debates of Democratic Presidential candidates

“I think they’re very upset when they look at the Democrat candidates standing on the stage making fools out of themselves,” Trump explained upon being asked about the cause of the market collapse.

So far, the measures taken by the US to control the spread of the virus include shutting down all flight operations to and from China, where it all started, and isolating any positive cases.
