During an interview in the Oval Office, President Donald Trump requested his chief of staff to leave the room after the man accidentally coughed while Trump was giving his answer.
The incident occurred while the president was taking part in the all-access interview with ABC News which aired on Sunday, June 16.
During the interview, George Stephanopoulos asked Trump various sensitive questions related to the Mueller investigation, flappy poll numbers, and the former president Barack Obama.
Speaking of his relationship with Russia, Trump denied all allegations claiming that his campaign colluded with the country in order to help him win the election.
“It was a concept of a deal, more of a concept than anything else,” the president claimed while speaking of the Moscow project.
“It was a concept of a deal someplace in Russia, probably in Moscow, and I was looking at places all over the world.”
When asked about whether the voters had the right to know about the project, Trump said he “wouldn’t mind telling them” about it.
After that, Trump also brought up his financial statement and confirmed he might turn it over one day because “it’s a fantastic financial statement.”
“No, at some point, I might, but at some point I hope they get it because it’s a fantastic financial statement. It’s a fantastic financial statement,” Trump said.
At that moment, Trump got upset by the coughing of his White House chief of staff and asked the man to leave after he accidentally coughed.
“And let’s do that over, he’s coughing in the middle of my answer,” the president said, visibly upset. “I don’t like that, you know, I don’t like that.”
“If you’re going to cough, please leave the room,” irritated Trump said while addressing Mick Mulvaney. “You just can’t, you just can’t cough. Boy oh boy.”
Turning back to the interviewer, the president suggested: “Okay, do you want to do that a little differently than uhh…”
