President Donald Trump just launched an attack on the ‘Squad’ congresswomen and said they are the ones responsible for the rise of racist attacks in the United States.
Trump made the move after reading a story in Washington Post entitled ‘Trump’s lost summer’ that said his controversies and inflammatory speeches triggered racist attacks.
He was been vocal on social meddia in his critique of the four Congresswomen Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
All are women of color, two are Muslim, and they have all colled for the president’s impeachment.
Trump said to Omar and Tlaib in a statement to ‘go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.’
However, the president defended himself from the article in the Washington Post saying the four Congresswomen are responsible for the rise of racist attacks in the country.
“The Amazon Washington Post did a story that I brought racist attacks against the “Squad.” No, they brought racist attacks against our Nation,” Trump tweeted.
“All I do is call them out for the horrible things they have said. The Democrats have become the Party of the Squad!”
One internet user commented: “I wish both sides would stop pointing fingers. Yes we have good and bad on both sides and I wish each would do more to denounce the bad ones and work towards unifying our country.”
Another wrote: “Anyone who christen themselves The Squad etc.Are not to be taken seriously.”
A third said: “No matter what angle you look at this, the President is 100% correct.”
