The Trump organization is now suing New York City in what critics term to be an awfully striking turn of events.
Donald Trump’s company alleged claimed that New York City had wrongfully terminated a number of contracts, which stated how it promised to operate a complete city-owned golf club.
For those who may not be aware, the Trump Organization encompasses an array of properties and projects that entail golf courses, vineyards, as well as hotels too.
But that’s not all, there are a plethora of other businesses involved too.
And that includes one where it had reportedly had several contracts to function out two different ice skating rinks in Central Park. The rinks were supposedly titled, ‘Central Park Carousel’, and the second one was ‘Trump Golf Links at the Ferry Point.
’ However, now, the organization has gone further to claim how the projects were canceled and their contracts were reportedly terminated in wake of the recent Capitol Riots that took place on January 6th in Washington DC.
On average, statistics revealed how the facilities based in the US went about earning for the company a massive amount that included $17 million in a single year.
Moreover, while the contracts for the following projects were actually set to expire during the early part of this year, another contract for the Trump Organization’s operational golf club at the Ferry Point was not due to expiry, any time soon.
In fact, the document’s expiry was reported to expire in 2032.
However, ABC News reported that right after a number of Pro-Trump supporters stormed into the Capitol building in DC on January 6th, New York’s mayor, Bill de Blasio went about announcing how he would now make a move and end the contracts in place.
His justification was that the President began a rebellion against the country’s government, which resulted in the death of more than 5 people while leaving dozens more injured. Hence now, Trump Organization is filing a lawsuit that claims how the City simply had zero rights to go about doing something like that.
