President Trump surprised a couple by showing up to their wedding held at the New Jersey Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.
The heartwarming gesture from the incumbent president left groom PJ Mongelli, bride Nicole Marie and all of their guests in shock and amazement.
The couple, who are among the biggest fans of President Trump, had dreamed of hosting him in their wedding ever since they got engaged in 2017.
Speaking to Fox News, the bride said she sent multiple requests to invite the president on her most memorable day, but she wasn’t sure if he would pay heed to her invitations.
Surprisingly, President Trump made it on her big day, leaving the newlyweds a fantastic memory for the rest of their lives.
“You don’t have to be a big donor for him to reach out to people,” exclaimed the bride.
When Trump showed up to the first wedding event, he assured the couple that he will also attend the second one – and he fulfilled his promise.
Upon seeing the POTUS at the wedding, an overjoyed man got near him, shouting: “I’m the father, I’m the father! Thank you so much!”
President Trump responded: “Great job. You did a good job.”
While Trump was talking to the pair after they hugged him enthusiastically, the secret service agents were seen preventing the guests from approaching him.
Trump said: “Where’s the groom? Handsome — look at his shoulders. Nobody’s gonna mess with him.”
It was when the groom asked Trump to attend the second event at Staten Island, to which, Trump replied: “Staten Island is the greatest. I love it. I’ll see if I can stop by.”
And the president unexpectedly appeared at the second event too, where people cried ‘USA! USA!’ in pleasure.
It isn’t the first time Trump has surprised a couple on their big day as he is quite famous for dropping in the marriage ceremonies held in his properties.
“If he is on-site for your big day, he will likely stop in & congratulate the happy couple,” read a pamphlet of Trump’s golf club.
“He may take some photos with you but we ask you and your guests to be respectful of his time & privacy.”
