Former US President Donald Trump has vowed to take revenge on Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, once he is reinstated back into the White House.
The news comes after Facebook extended its ban on Trump for a further two-year period as confirmed by local media outlets recently.
Moreover, the statement was another major hint of confirmation regarding how the president will be taking part in the elections of 2024.
The news of his extension ban was not well received by Trump who reacted in a furious manner, calling out the CEO giant of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg. Trump will not be allowed to use any of Facebook’s platforms before the start of January 2023.
“Next time there will be no dinners for Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, at my request,” the president reacted angrily. “It will be about nothing but pure business”, he reiterated on Friday in a public statement that raised plenty of eyebrows.
This was the second statement that was released by the former commander in chief, within a small span of just two hours. During the earlier hours of that day, Trump branded the ban as a major insult towards his supporters, while accusing the tech industry of censoring as well as silencing all of his supporters too.
Facebook claims that the two-year ban that is directed for Donald Trump will ensue according to plan. Therefore, he will only be given the opportunity to come back to the platform towards the end of that ban’s designated period, ‘if the risk to the public safety receded’.
Just last month, Facebook’s Oversight Board made it a point to uphold the former president’s suspension. It also went about criticizing the organization over the uncertain and indefinite period. Moreover, this forced Mark Zuckerberg to implement an additional series of new rules to abide by.
