Twins are known to have some kind of a special bond with each other.
In fact, some even say that they have the “sixth sense” just for their twin sister or brother.
Although people debate whether this is scientifically true or not, everyone will agree that such bond is made possible because they literally went through everything together.
This particular sonogram is special because it shows that the amount of love between the twins is beyond what we can imagine.
Ian and Brittani McIntire are the parents of these twins. After having two girls, they were not planning on having more babies. So, when they found out that Brittani was pregnant with twins, both parents were shocked.
Still, Ian and Brittani could not wait to meet their unborn babies – Mason and Madilyn.
However, they were surprised by another news.
And this time, it wasn’t great at all.

Doctors told the parents that Mason wasn’t developing at a normal pace. He was lagging behind, unlike his sister who was growing healthily.
Madilyn, in fact, was weighing about two pounds.
Mason, on the other hand, was only 9 ounces.
It turned out that Mason had a hole in his heart and an abnormal brain.
So, doctors told the parents to prepare for the worst – that they might be going home with only one of the twins.
The parents had to go through many tests and appointments, but the last sonogram that they did was the most shocking one of all.
The ultrasound technician first saw what was on the sonogram, and her jaw dropped as well.
She had never seen this before, either. On the sonogram, the twins were holding hands.
When they looked closely at the picture, they could see that Mason’s hand was wrapped around Madilyn’s finger.
As soon as the parents realized that their dying son was holding hands with his sister, Ian and Brittani broke down in tears.

They were so amazed by this sonogram, that the parents decided to share it online. Needless to say, the photo went viral, leaving many people in tears.
Hopefully, Mason will make it and see himself in this miraculous photo later.
