The burden of taking new responsibility is tough and especially of feeding one more person or an animal. But Heather Hernandez took such a responsibility and is a woman who lives by her word.
The pup, Toad, might seem to look like a perfect and a healthy dog, but that is not the case here as Toad has got its own set of life issues.
But the moment you have a look at her when she is head on that is when you will, or your mind will force you to think that what is wrong with this greyish pup.
The 5-year-old dog almost never has its tongue in her mouth because it is too large and there is one other thing about her that will leave you amazed.
This dog has got a partially formed mouth in the area where there should have been an ear. She does have an opening on that side, and the teeth are present.
The owner Heather explained how that particular thing is attached to her airways and esophagus. A lot of drooling is done by the pup when she runs a lot because she then needs too much water.
The mouth of Toad is not fully operational and also has vision-related issues. According to veterinarians, she must have absorbed her fetus, and that is why her body is in such a condition.
The dog owner said that a lot of people think that her dog is ugly and she agrees with them, but she also thinks that she is absolutely perfect.
Many didn’t approve of her looks, but that is exactly what Heather was drawn to. Even the other Heather’s dogs know that it is Toad who gets to enjoy the prime snuggle slot and they also make way for her when they sit on the couch with Heather.
Heather now feels that Toad’s relationship with her has now formed into a companionship. The adoption of Toad has helped Heather realize how much such animals suffer.
And now she runs a Muss Misfits Animal Rescue Society. This society has so far been able to help out almost 300 animals.
The animal rescue team of Heather helps animals who have been neglected by the animal shelters and are in worse conditions of their life. Heather gives them a chance so that their survival rate increases.
