Meet the famous conjoined sisters named Lupita and Carmen. For those who may not be aware, conjoined twins are a very rare occurrence, and even when they do occur, their low survival rates haunt so many people.
But this inspiring story of a pair of conjoined twins managed to sweep so many people off of their feet.
When the girls’ mum was in her 13th week of gestation, she was delivered the news by a doctor regarding how her babies would be conjoined at birth. Certainly, it wasn’t the happiest of events and truly one of great concern.
Lupita and Carmen entered the world in the year 2000. Doctors literally threw their hands up in the air as they feared for the worst, claiming how they would only have a few days to survive.
But the girls’ were true fighters since birth. They not only proved doctors wrong but defied all the odds that went against them. Their lives were nothing less than a constant struggle where living and breathing were termed to be a giant miracle indeed. The pair was originally born in Mexico.
However, when they reached the age of two, they moved with their parents to America. And that’s because their parents had full hope that doctors in the US could possibly do something about their situation in terms of separation.
