There are only a few days until Christmas and while most of the people are looking forward to spending quality time with their loved ones, and partying with friends and family, The NHS is aiming to keep us safe.
The emergency services are undergoing the busiest time of the year and to show appreciation, Uber is providing NHS employees two free taxi rides between 23 and 27 December.
It is offering those workers who do not need cab services two free Uber Eats meals as an alternative.
According to the NHS report 2017, approximately 400,000 workers work during the festive season, including 176,000 care workers, 97,000 nurses, 12,000 ambulance drives, 53,000 nursing assistants, and 12,000 midwives.
Uber’s Jamie Heywood told that Uber is happy to be able to provide help to those who work day and night to care for us.
He added that every one of us knows someone who works with a smile over Christmas to run the NHS successfully and this is their way of thanking them.
It is the third year that Uber is offering NHS nurses, doctors, and support staff help from going to and from work during Christmas time when public transport is limited.
Jamie noted that this year, offering free meals would make their shifts a bit easier.
However, it you are planning to take the benefit of the offer, you will have to be fast as the deadline for sending your details is next week.
Those who are looking to attain either two Uber Eats or Uber trips codes need to visit the link and fill in the official NHS email address last by 9 am on 20th December, Friday.
The codes will then be sent to the applicant by 22nd December. They can avail of free services up to £10 ($13) each.
