A giant group comprising of more than 2000 migrants from Central America are heading towards the US after an array of ugly clashes took center stage on Sunday.
According to reports from several local media outlets, a giant caravan that came packed with migrants from both El Salvador and Honduras began its journey in the Mexican city of Tapachula and then made its way towards Huehuetan town, which is nearly 16 miles away.
These migrants have boldly declared how they are heading towards the US Southern border in an effort to apply for both asylums as well as refugee status.
Previously, the men managed to push past the state police who made great attempts to put the giant caravan at a halt. However, that proved to be greatly unsuccessful.
As the mass migration took place, many filmed the shocking incident that has started to raise concern amongst many Americans as the caravan starts to pick up pace towards its destination in the US.
While some of the migrants were picture carrying plenty of luggage, others were seen holding giant banners, crosses, signs, and even flags belonging to the US.
Reports confirm how the movement actually began this Saturday, which is when the group started to make pushes as they advanced past the state police. While officers tried their level best to deny their entry, this just couldn’t control the massive caravan.
Unlike past marches, this one that reportedly began on Saturday did not include too many Haitian migrants, of which thousands managed to reach the US border at a location present near Texas’s Del Rio region, just last month.
As it is, there are already tens of thousands of migrants waiting patiently and anxiously in Mexico’s Tapachula for their asylum papers which could potentially pave the way and allow them to travel.
