In the U.
K., a factory is being made that will produce hand sanitizer’s one million bottles a month. Sir Jim Ratcliffe who is worth several billion dollars is behind this plan and said that those bottles would be given to NHS for free in order to help with the critical shortage.
Revealing his plans, the billionaire said that the manufacturing unit in Middlesbrough would be made and running in only ten days, with another unit planned for Germany.
As per Sir Jim who is the owner of chemicals company INEOS, it is becoming clear that significant cause of the coronavirus contagion is hand to mouth infection and INEOS is the largest manufacturer of the main ingredient of hand sanitizer of Europe.
He added that they will make 2 factories in Germany and the U.K. in ten days for producing very substantial supplies.
He noted that INEOS has enormous resources as well as manufacturing skills and added that if they could find other ways to aid in coronavirus battle, they would readily play their part.
This pledge by Sir Jim came after LVMH, the multinational luxury company that owns high-end label Louis Vuitton revealed that it would be using the perfume production lines it owned to manufacture hydro-alcoholic gel in a bid to cope up with the demand in France.
LVMH noted that it wanted to help out in the middle of the coronavirus outbreak in France, which had led to a shortage and would give hydro-alcoholic gel to health authorities and hospitals free of charge.
LVMH said in a statement that Bernard Arnault has instructed LVMH Perfumes and Cosmetics division to prepare production sites to make substantial quantities of the hydro-alcoholic gel, which would be provided to the public authorities.
LVMH also pledged to help French Health Authorities as long as required.
