Though there might be a section of people, who are not appreciating Brexit, a withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union, this news can bring a day of hope to Australians who visit the country every year for different purposes.
According to sources, after the inclusion of Brexit, there might be a system or regulation that will permit Aussies to stay and work in the UK without a visa, henceforth.
No official announcement has been made from the government yet. Liz Truss, Britain’s International Trade Secretary, stated in a press conference that the country wishes to establish a comprehensive trade deal that strengthens the relationship between two countries.
The statement didn’t unveil anything about the new system. When Ms. Truss was asked whether she intended towards visa-free working, the Trade Secretary added that the government would certainly look into that matter.
It is quite evident that the UK will be eyeing for better trade deals after being withdrawn from the European Union. Ms. Truss has already started taking a tour to trade potential countries and trying to stir up trade deals to withstand the Brexit day in October.
The Secretary further added that Australia is the first country she visited as trade secretary as the country holds utmost priority in trade deals with Britain.
Simon Birmingham, Ms. Truss’s Australian counterpart, expressed his gratitude by saying we look at this deal as the most comprehensive and ambitious agreement. He further added that Australia is looking forward to some great opportunities in the service sector.
There have been many attempts by the UK government to make the entry of Aussies a bit easier. Whether it was e-passports to clear customers or biometrics authorization, the UK had made regular updates to make the entry streamlined for Australians.
The government has yet to confirm on the no visa working for Australians, but anyhow the Aussies are in benefit after the Brexit.
