When we hear the word wedding all we can see is decked up the place, flowers here and there, the bride walking down the aisle in her stunning gown, and groom looking dapper in his suit.
These are the things that are considered conventional for a wedding without which marriage wouldn’t seem complete.
Breaking all the norms and leaving the guests in surprise, this funky couple got married in “Bride” and “Groom” t-shirts, jeans and trainer.
With a view to hosting a low key wedding, the couple decided to ditch the expensive wedding dress and get a customized Bride and Groom t-shirts for themselves.
The bride, Rebecca Maxwell, 26 from Northumberland was seen in a white Bride t-shirt with black jeans and white converse while Glen Maxwell, the groom was spotted in black Groom t-shirt with matching jeans and trainers.
The couple looked extremely cool and happy in their attires. The couple wore the outfits for their reception as well. Rebecca added when their wedding planning started, and they realized they are doing things to please other people instead of thinking to make themselves happy.
The couple also bought personalized tops for bridesmaid, best man, mother, father and other close relatives of the couple. Guests were asked to wear jeans and a t-shirt at the wedding.
The couple got engaged in August 2016, who now have a nine-month-old daughter Eleanor. Soon the wedding preparation started, both Glen and Rebecca realized a fancy wedding is not their thing.
Rebecca further added, she and her husband like things simple, they don’t even like big holidays, little family dinners would lit up their world.
Instead of pleasing everyone by putting up an expensive show, the couple decided to live their d-day to the fullest and ditched their wedding.
