Love never dies, it continues living even if the humans die.
Yes, the saying looks a bit abnormal because who would keep loving someone who is not even around for more than decades, right?
Well, there are love stories that never die and here is one such story of an American soldier who was serving in France and his French beloved.
It was the 75th anniversary of the D-Day where Robbins was present. That is where the reunion of the two lovers happened 75 years after they had been separated.
The media crew was present there and recorded the moment filled with joy, love, and happiness.
When the 94 years old veteran saw his years old beloved, he could not take his eyes off her. They embraced each other and Robbins told Kara Troy “I love you, I have always been in love with you and today is one of the happiest days of my life.”
Robbins was in France to serve for his duty when he fell in love with Troy, later when the war got over he had to come back to America leaving Troy behind. Soon after he came back, his parents got him married but Robbins says he never forgot Troy.
On the other hand, Troy says she waited for him to come back although he made no such promise. She said the 18 years old her was very sad when he went back.
A media person who was making a documentary on the veterans of France war found out about Robbins’s love story and how he had preserved a picture of Troy for 75 long years.
The media man decided to look for Troy even though Robbins told him that she would be dead by now. Fortunately, he was able to find Troy who is 92 years old now.
The love birds met for a few hours after three-quarters of life and promised to see each other soon again.
