In an on-air interview, Val Kilmer has finally spoken about something that he had never spoken before.
He shared what he misses about his voice after he has survived the throat cancer and how his life has turned out to be.
Val Kilmer’s memoir has just come out and he is now working on promoting it. For the same, he came out in an interview after years. He had appeared on Good Morning America to talk about his memoir I’m Your Huckleberry.
He also talked about how and what are the changes he had to see in his life after his survival was with throat cancer and what impact has the sickness left on his voice.
The 60 years old actor said “I feel a lot better. My voice is not doing justice to how I feel. I did not lose hope after being diagnosed with throat cancer, I rather recovered very quickly. The glands on my throat had swelled up and were discomforting and so I have to use this tracheotomy that helps me breathe.”
His life changed with just a diagnose and there are things he misses.
When he was asked about what are the things or that one thing that he misses the most, to answer this question he gave out the best answer that could make one laugh and sad at the same time.
He said that he misses that his laughter does not sound like a pirate.
After he was diagnosed, Val had to fight with the sickness for 2 long years. He had announced the same in 2017.
For the interview, he was joined by his kids, 28 years old Mercedes, and 24 years old Jack.
He said “I had defeated cancer over 4 years ago and I feel so much better. Life has not been the same ever since but I am grateful that I could survive this deadly disease and still have a chance at life.
