Vanessa Bryant’s mother, Sofia Laine, claimed that her daughter has kicked her out of their home in California following Kobe Bryant’s death.
Laine also said that her daughter demanded the return of a car.
In an interview that was aired on Univision, crying Laine told Dave Valadez: “She told me, ‘I need you to get out of this house.’ She also told me that she wanted her car and she wants it now.”
Kobe Bean Bryant, 41, and his daughter, 13-year-old Gianna, passed away in a helicopter crash along with the pilot and other passengers earlier this year.
Laine was last photographed with her daughter in a Thanksgiving family picture that was shared on Kobe’s Instagram page.
It is not clear what might’ve happened between Vanessa and Laine to have a heartbreaking rift.
The family owns many properties on the Newport and Laine stayed in one until it was sold in 2013.
After Kobe’s death in January, a source said to Us Weekly that Laine was helping her grieving daughter and her grandchildren – Capri, 7 months, Bianka, 3, and Natalia, 17.
The insider told the outlet: “(Vanessa) is incredibly close to her mom and her mom has been her rock throughout the past few weeks.
“Her mom is always with her and the girls and she’s been keeping Vanessa strong and she’s the weight of her support system.”
Laine seemed to be very close to his son-in-law as she was seen waiting outside Kobe’s locker room in 2015.
It is not clear where Laine is living at the moment.
