Vanessa Bryant paid a tear-jerking tribute to her deceased daughter, Gigi, on the day the girl should have celebrated her 14th birthday.
The girl died alongside her basketball legend father, Kobe Bryant, and seven other individuals in a helicopter crash back in January.
Taking to Instagram to honor the memory of her daughter, who had taken after her father’s footsteps in terms of passion for basketball, Vanessa wrote:
“Happy 14th Birthday to my sweet baby girl, Gianna. Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you. You are part of MY SOUL forever.
“I miss you so much everyday. I wish I could wake up and have you here with me. I miss your smile, your hugs and your giggles. I miss EVERYTHING about YOU, Gigi. I LOVE YOU so much!!!!!!!”
Previously, on April 18, Vanessa also celebrated what would have been her and Kobe’s 19th wedding anniversary with a sweet message.
“My king, my heart, my best friend,” she wrote in tribute to her husband.
“Happy 19th wedding anniversary baby. I miss you so much. I wish you were here to hold me in your arms.”
Kobe and Gigi died in a helicopter crash alongside seven other people on January 26, 2020. According to the reports, the aircraft crashed in Las Virgenes Canyon, Calabasas, California, after encountering thick fog in the morning.
All nine passengers died in the crash.
Gigi is survived by her mother Vanessa Bryant and her siblings Natalie, 17, Bianka, 3, and Capri, 7 months.
