There are so many different types of plants that it is hard to count how many there are. Each one of fruits that we eat is from different tree or plant and that makes each tree so special.
To grow one plant or fruit, we have to put a special care and attention to each plant or tree. They are all different.

Therefore, sometimes it is little hard to keep track of all the different ways to care for each plant.
But, what if we can get all different kinds of trees and plants to get all different fruits and vegetables? Wouldn’t it be amazing to have one tree and get all the various fruits and vegetables?
It turns out that there is one awesome tree.
Sam Ban Aken, a man who has worked with trees for his whole life, wanted to make the tree that can produce different kinds of fruits from one tree. So, he researched and studied about the technology and finally was able to grow one tree with 40 different kinds of fruits. It was unbelievable.
The tree is not only innovative but also beautiful. It shines the area with the red, pink, and magenta colors and makes the town so wonderful.

The tree was engineered by Van Aken and he put a great effort in creating the tree. He grew the plant in Reading, Pennsylvania, the farm where he learned everything about plants.
There, he also learned grafting, a way to combine plants and make it as a hybrid plant.
The fruits from his tree are stone fruits, which are known as drupes in science word. Stone fruits are the ones that have soft outer part with a hard seed inside such as apricots, peaches, mangoes, and cherries.
Thanks to his amazing work, the tree now grow different kinds of fruits such as nectarines, almonds, and peaches!
Van Aken is still growing the tree and he has planted many other trees after the first one three years ago. This tree is groundbreaking in bio-diversity and sustainability and scientists see huge future of this tree.
