An upset vegan has spoken out and claimed her friends pranked her by tricking her into eating a chicken nugget when she was drunk.
While the group thought it would be fun to prank their vegan friend, they didn’t expect that she would call the police on them and charge them with food tampering.
As the 24-year-old woman who took the matter to Reddit explained, she hasn’t eaten meat since she was just a few years old, making the incident that much worse for her.
According to the young vegan, she was at a party with her now-former-friends when they took advantage of her by pranking her after she got drunk.
“My friends thought it would be funny to feed me chicken nuggets as a prank. They tasted off to me but I figured it was just because I was drunk. I was wrong,” the victim wrote, claiming that her friends told her the nuggets were vegan.
In a Snapchat story on the following day, the woman’s friends allegedly shared a video showing how they tricked their drunk friend to eat chicken nuggets.
“Now 3 of my (ex) friends are facing charges,” she added, claiming that she showed the video to the police.
After the incident, many viewers supported the vegan to stand up for herself and get rid of her “toxic” friends.
“Spongebob taught me that pranks are for the enjoyment of the pranksters. They did it for themselves at the expense of their friend, making it worse by mocking her and posting it on Snapchat,” someone wrote.
However, there were also plenty of people who thought that the woman was overreacting.
“You’re pressing charges over chicken nuggets. You have a moral stance against meat. That’s fine. But it’s not a life-threatening allergy. It’s absolutely a sh*tty thing for them to do. They aren’t friends. They should be ashamed. But pressing charges is just way too much,” someone suggested.
