76-Year-Old Veteran Battling Terminal Cancer Was Granted His Final Wish


76-year-old Albert Septien has been granted his final wish of having a white Christmas and being able to make a snow angel for the last time.

The Florida veteran has seen his health deteriorate rapidly since his stage 4 melanoma diagnosis got worse.

He was told that this Christmas would likely be the last one for him, so when his loved ones asked him what he would like for holiday, Septien said he just wanted to create a snow angel just like he used to as a kid.

To make the 76-year-old’s white Christmas wish happen, his loving family asked the Tampa Bay community for help. They created 8 tons of man-made snow using hundreds of bags of ice.

The terminally ill veteran broke down in tears after seeing snow in his front yard on Christmas Eve. He was then filmed collapsing into the snow and smiling as he created a snow angel.

“To feel the coldness, all of that, it was really good,” he told WFLA. “I was soaked, even to my underwear, but it was great.”

It was only in May when Septien was diagnosed with melanoma but he was told after Thanksgiving that it had already spread.

Septien believes that the disease was caused by his exposure to Agent Orange when he was serving in Vietnam.

His cousin, Joe Maestre, said the look on the 76-year-old’s face was priceless. “I don’t think there’s words to explain it,” he told Fox13.
