Living life for yourself is easy and this is what all humankind does. We may have not been like that forever but now the humanity is going away and we are turning into selfish beings.
Well, this is not how life should work. Life is much more than that. Life is the name of living for others as well.
A couple who had been living a rich and happy life came around a man they could not ignore.
Stephanie and Al Blackbird of Arizona were in Scottsdale in a shop when they saw a malnourished man standing in front of a candy machine with a $5 bill in his hand. The couple missed him once but found him again after a few minutes.
They couldn’t resist and went to him to ask what did he need. He told them that his blood sugar level has gone down and he needs a sweet.
They got him some candies along with some food and water. The couple knew the man is in need so they stayed and tried to talk to him. At first, the man was not ready to take help but he later realized that the couple is genuinely concerned.
He then went to the hospital with them and told his story. He said that he has been homeless for 20 years. He said that he was in the desert camp and then came to the city. He said that he is a veteran. He also said that he has sisters and has been separated by them.
The couple tried to find his camp and after a lot of research, they were able to find one of his sisters.
“We looked for him for a very long time. We have been searching for him since 1990 but nothing got us anywhere. We thought he died.
I never thought I’ll be able to talk to him ever again in my life. I am so grateful that he is finally here and I could talk to him” his sister Julie said after the couple made the two siblings talk.
