It is a painful time for the pet and a stressing one for you.

This doctor at the Carroll County Veterinary clinic is nothing short of a stand-up comedian and knows how to relieve the stress of pet owners coming to visit him.

Judging from the outdoor signs, this vet can easily compete in a comedy championship and will most likely win it.

Carroll County Veterinary Clinic is situated in Westminister, Maryland. The clinic features a fully-equipped animal hospital that provides dental, medical, surgical, testing, care, and therapeutic services for animals.

Their description says: “We strive to treat you and your pets as part of our family.”

However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the routine life of pet clinics is vastly disrupted. A report from NBC15 tells that majority of pet clinics have suspended surgical procedures and are only providing emergency treatment services.

It is still not known whether or not the coronavirus affects animals but the American Veterinary Medical Association has issued instructions for people who have pets and have tested positive for the virus.

The directive from AVMA’s website reads: “Out of an abundance of caution, it is recommended that those ill with COVID-19 limit contact with animals until more information is known about the virus.”

Similarly, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention has directed pet owners to treat pets like other members of the family.

The CDC says: “Do not let pets interact with people or animals outside the household.”

In case someone in the family does test positive for novel coronavirus, the CDC suggests to “isolate that person from everyone else, including pets.”
