Victoria Beckham was about to enjoy the last enthralls of her birthday celebrations, which lasted for three days allegedly, but it was all ruined by an exclusive The Mail report that came out on to the front-pages of almost every British newspapers.
The negative press revelation was that the former Spice Girl and current fashion designer has decided to furlough her employees, and instead chose to fund them through government aid fund. This caused enough public furor to disrupt the celebration. Apparently, it seems the rich wife of the former British soccer legend was stupendously angry that the public dare denounce her in such ways.
She herself might have thought that escaping her £31 million home in Holland Park, West London, to enjoy the country sunshine at their luxury barn in the Cotswolds might have be seen as humble of some sorts, the family estate of hers believed to be amounted at a staggering £335 million in total.
And she might have had no actual considerations in herself but to save money in the best possible way that she had.
Well, one thing is for sure – that their decade long decent publicity has been severely defected because of this incident, while their employees might join the ranks of those dying or suffering from the heavily direct impact of the pandemic.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak had said that the allegedly misused fund was intended “as a lifeline for Britain’s struggling businesses which had ‘done nothing wrong but are watching their finances fall off a cliff'”. It is indeed heavily debatable whether that is the case for Victoria Beckham’s rather small-sized self-labeled brand which has garnered just up about £35 million of losses since its foundation in 2008.
The mood on the party scene, when disrupted by their publicists worried calls, on Sunday had been reported as being ‘dreadfully tense,’ according to a related source: “It would be no exaggeration to say Victoria was sulking. She is used to David being criticised but other than some light ribbing for not being able to sing very well, or never smiling, she has never come under scrutiny like this.'”
It is rather unclear as to what the couple’s official response will be after they face the need for public inquiry next week.
