A bat and a ball cost $1.10 as a whole. Now, the bat’s price is $1.00 more than the ball’s price. Now, can you tell us how many cents does the ball cost?
ANSWER: The right answer is FIVE Cents! See, if the bat is priced at $1.00 more than the ball, and the total is going to be $1.10, then that means the ball must be priced at 5 cents while the bat would cost $1.05.
Riddle number 2
It takes five machines to make 5 widgets in about 5 minutes. Now, can you tell us how much time it would take 100 machines to produce 100 widgets? Don’t forget to give your answer in minutes!
ANSWER: The right answer is FIVE MINUTES!
See the rate for 5 machines is 1 widget/minute. The rate for 100 machines would be 20 widgets per minute. Hence, it’s going to take 100 machines 100/20 =5 minutes to produce 100 widgets.

In a large lake, there is a giant patch of lily pads. Each day, we see how the patch manages to double in size. Now, if it takes around 48 days for that patch to cover the whole lake, how long would that patch take to cover half of that lake? Remember to give your answer in days, please!
ANSWER: It will take 47 DAYS! This is because, on the 48th day, the whole lake gets covered with flowers completely.
