Phenomenal actress and Oscar winner Viola Davis are going to star in the upcoming show First Ladies like Michelle Obama to show what goes on in the lives of women in the East Wing.

 

Viola Davis is going to act as Michelle Obama in the upcoming show depicting the lives of First Ladies of the United States. 

Davis is not only going to play Michelle Obama but she is also an executive producer on the show along with her husband Julius Tennon through the production company they own called JuVee.

Performing the role of Michelle Obama is an honor in itself, let alone on a show that is entirely dedicated to the First Ladies of The country.

Super excited with the same, Davis wrote on her Twitter, “I am so proud to be sharing this news with you all. I am going to honor these queens and powerful women and this is incredible.” 

The first season of the show is going to depict the story of three First Ladies, Betty Ford, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Michelle Obama. 

While most of the shows focus on the political aspect and the massive life-altering decisions take in the East Wing of the White House. This show is going to put its focus on the lives of these three First ladies and their personal dilemma with life and politics. 

Jana Winograd, Showtime president of entertainment said it is her dream come true to have Davis perform Michelle Obama. 

Winograd says, “Pick up our history and read it through, you will find the deep-rooted influence of the spouses of the presidents in the history. This makes their life and their side of the story extremely vital to be spoken off.”
