This picture of a birthday cake has a really special story behind it that will absolutely warm your heart.
Meet Michigander Lisa Aldrich from Michigan. She was in need of a birthday cake fast and her busy schedule meant that she was unable to bake one herself.

Lisa recalled that her local grocery store, meijer was selling amazing, hand decorated cakes.
Lisa immediately went to her local Meijer in search for the perfect birthday cake. She asked it be decorated really special for a birthday celebration.

When she got her cake back, it looked a little strange. Lisa didn’t mind though.
I nervously laughed and headed to the check out — it didn’t really matter to me that it looked so bad — I thought people would think it was funny.
When Lisa was at the register, the cashiers were not so forgiving. A few more cashiers — and even a manager — were called over to look.
After Lisa convinced the cashiers and the manager that the cake was fine, one of the cashiers told Lisa the story behind it.
The girl who wrote that has autism. Thank you for smiling and thanking her — even though she’s not supposed to write on cakes, you probably made her day.
Lisa said that the cake tasted as delicious as any other and it was a hit at the party!
After the party Lisa posted about the whole story on her Facebook where it took the internet by storm. Her post quickly had over 90,000 shares in less than a week! Lisa told of the amazing response to her story:
I am totally overwhelmed by God’s goodness, and how he has used this cake story! I am sitting here weeping and reading through 100+ messages from people all over the country who have a loved one with autism, thanking me. I just feel the need to say again — I didn’t do anything special. Be nice. That is all. I can’t believe how awesome God is that he using this story to bless so many people! God is so, so good.
