A young waitress says she still feels like she’s dreaming after two customers gave her a brand new car after she served them breakfast.
Adrianna Edwards shared that she walked almost 14 miles to and from work – and that’s over five hours of walking daily just to get to her job.
Edwards told CNN: “I have bills to pay. I’ve got to eat. You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.”
When the hardworking waitress walked into work that morning, she had no idea she would receive a brand new car.
The couple who want to remain anonymous learned of Edward’s daily struggle while having their breakfast.
After finishing their meal, they came back a few hours later with a gift for Edwards!
At first, Edward thought it was a prank. “In my head, I was like ‘Pranks are cool and everything, but this one seems a tad bit cruel.’”
The car will reduce her hours-long walk to only a 30-minute drive! “I still feel like I’m dreaming. Every two hours, I come look out my window and see if there’s still a car there.”
The couple were so happy that the waitress appreciated their surprise. “She teared up, which made me happy that she was so moved by that,” the woman expressed.
“I know it’s Thanksgiving, but I said Merry Christmas and that hopefully someday she’ll pay it forward,” the woman added.
The couple just want Edwards to pay it forward and give a hand to those in need.
“When I see somebody in need, I’ll probably be more likely to help them out (and) to do everything that I can to help them out,” Edwards said. “I just hope that one day when I’m financially stable enough, I can help somebody else in need.”
