Another fill-the-tank puzzle is here and this time your logic will be pushed to the limit.
A viral 12-tank challenge has been making rounds on the internet after it appeared on a physics forum where viewers were told to figure out the mechanics behind the test.
Soon enough, the tricky test made it on various social media portals where baffled users couldn’t agree on the answer.
Check out the picture above carefully and take your time. Think hard before you submit your final answer in the comments section.
Before we reveal the solution, here’s a small hint to get you on the right track. Some of the drains are blocked, meaning that water can’t pass through them.
Here’s your final chance to try and figure out the puzzle on your own before we reveal the answer!
The tank that will fill up first is F. In the explanation below, you can see how the water will be distributed, and given that some of the water tanks are blocked off, this is the only solution there can be.
Did you manage to solve this without our help? How long did that take you?
If you liked this logic test, you might also enjoy solving the one below. This time, there are fewer containers, but the puzzle is no less tricky.
Take a look!
To solve the second puzzle, you have to pay attention to the entire picture. While you may think there are only seven tanks at first glance, you can spot the 8th one at the far bottom if only you focus.
The answer, this time, is water tank number 8. Tank 3 and subsequent tanks are cut off from the water supply the same way as tank number 6. All of the water will therefore flow to tank 2 before making its way to tank 7 and finally 8.
