NBA star Shaquille O’Neal is sending out a bold and clear message to his kids about how he wants them to make a living on their own grounds, without any reliance on his fame and fortune.
The renowned ‘Hall of Famer’ in the world of Basketball gave an outspoken message as he appeared during a recent podcast, ‘Earn your Leisure’.
Shaquille spoke about how important it was for kids to understand that money does not grow on trees and that they need to start earning for themselves, instead of relying on their dad’s fame and fortune because he simply won’t allow it!
“My kids are much older now. They need to understand that we aren’t rich, I’m rich!”- the NBA star repeated in a bossy tone.
Similarly, Shaquille shed light on how he’s made the rules for earning clear to his six kids from day one, adding how they simply weren’t too happy to hear that they’ve got to work hard if they want money to spend.
For those who may not be aware, the celeb has a whopping fortune amassing nearly $400 million. While his playing days may be over after his retirement, he’s still ‘inside the NBA,’ confirmed an expert analyst.
And that includes over 50 mega endorsement deals with various leading brands that intend on paying the star a hefty amount. This includes names like Reebok, Pepsi, The General, and Gold Bond, amongst others. But that’s just a few of the many brands waiting in line to work with the sports superstar.
A number of dining ventures are also lining up like Big Chicken and Papa John’s, waiting to have the leading basketball player endorse their names and help skyrocket their profits too.
