In a recent interview, the general public has assumed that the company is trying to send out subliminal messages to the customers due to the hidden message in their logo.
Someone had pointed out that in Wendy’s logo, the word “Mom” is hidden near the top part of the logo. It is hiding in between the collar of the illustration of the girl that represents the company. Wendy’s tells sources that it was unintentional, and that it just happened to be that way.
They started using their logo that features Dave Thomas’ daughter when she was 8, switching it up because their previous logo had been used for the past 29 years. Even with the brand new logo, users still see potential of the logo sending out messages in between the lines, even though the company has said that it was unintentional.
There was a posting on the website StockLogos.com, where users pointed out the word “Mom” that appeared in Wendy’s collar. Can’t see it? Below is a zoomed in picture to find the hidden logo.
Do you see it now?
In the post on StockLogos.com, the user points out that it should “not be a surprise to see the fast food restaurant, Wendy’s, associating their refreshed brand with Mom’s cooking.”
Senior vice president of communications for Wendy’s, Denny Lynch, comments that “We are aware of this and find it interesting that it appears our Wendy cameo has ‘mom’ on her ruffled collar. We can assure you it was unintentional.”
The design that was used was created by a design firm, its purpose is to serve as the face and mascot of the fast-food chain, Wendy’s.
Dave Thomas, creator of the fast-food restaurant chain, had opened the first Wendy’s located in Columbus, Ohio, back in 1969.
Wendy’s Company had become the world’s third largest quick-service hamburger company, handling 6,500 franchise and Company restaurants in the U.
S. alongside 27 other countries and U. S. territories, all listed on Wendy’s website.
