Gabe Mangus who is 13 years old was born with a disease. He was unable to walk because of that very disease. That disease is Spina bifida.

Owing to spina bifida Gabe was stuck to a wheelchair and could not walk.

Gabe had a dream since his childhood and that was scoring a touchdown game but his disease and wheelchair made him bound.

His long due dream came true with the help of the middle school football team of Arkansas. This fulfillment of a childhood dream provided him with the strength to achieve more.

The football team of Arkansas middle school called Gabe when they were going to play the last home game of that season.

They first told Gabe about their plan that he will be sent in the ground to play. It was a lifetime experience for Gabe to go into the football ground and play.

He was with passes a football and was pressed from the pitch to the end sector.

Gabe did not believe in what happened with him and how he was able to play football even being wheelchair-bound.

He described his feelings as, “It was mind-boggling. The best feeling he ever had”.

This move provided him with more vigor and determination as he had the vision to achieve more.

He was motivated by his coach named Derrick Smith, when he was in seventh grade at Southside Charter High School in Batesville, Indiana, U.S.

Derick motivated him in words, “Gabe is incredible and his wheelchair is not a pretext for achieving his goals as he has a lot of determination.

Coming to his achievement in the gym, he accomplished what a common man would think twice from a wheelchair-bound person.

He held the bar which is designed for weightlifting and heavy discs are attached to it in the rack used for exercising by assuming a crouching position and then he touched the bar used for weightlifting and pulled him from the ground.

He performed 11 pull-ups in the squat rack in only 25 seconds and then gave himself a break. This might sound astounding but Gabe really achieved it and proved that there are no limits to achieving one’s dreams.
