President Biden didn’t appear quite like himself at a recent press conference where he reportedly stormed off stage, without answering any questions from the reporters.
This was the last big press event before the holiday of Thanksgiving and so many people were expecting it to end on a high. However, Biden certainly disappointed so many of the reporters seated at the conference when he opted to walk out, without hearing any of the reporters’ opinions or questions.
While it’s still unclear as to why the President opted to do something of that sort, some claim he may have been in a hurry or perhaps was not in the frame of mind to respond to fiery comments.
Biden quickly wrapped up the event, as many reporters began to yell, “Excuse me, Sir, when do you plan on taking our questions?” While the sounds of those hardworking men and women from the Press may have been ringing in Biden’s years later, he opted to ignore them completely.
Instead, he thanked everyone for their time and effort and stated how he will have plenty of time to talk to them later, and not today.
On that note, the US President could be seen strolling off the stage and reaching for the exit door at the Executive Building located right next to the White House building.
Meanwhile, Steven Portnoy who happened to be at the same press event where reporters were ignored soon released a Tweet about the incident, adding how he was in fact the one who raised the first question to the President. But it was all in vain as the commander in chief didn’t appear to be interested.
“I specifically asked the President about his discussion regarding his recent meeting with Xi Jinping and a number of other leaders. But he ignored me and that’s when I had to question the President about when he planned on speaking to the Press,” he explained.
Clearly, reporters were not happy as they certainly came prepared with plenty to talk about. But now, many are hopeful that their queries will be answered at the next meeting, whenever that happens.
