A video of a woman is currently going viral as she seems to be talking to the police about a girl selling water.
The footage, which appears to be filmed near San Francisco’s AT&T Park, shows a young black girl announcing “Cold water for two dollars.”
Twitter user Raj shared the video on Twitter. “So my little cousin was selling water and didn’t have a permit so this lady decided to call the cops on a 8 year old,” she wrote, calling the woman as #PermitPatty.
The woman is seen talking on the phone when she hides behind a wall after noticing a camera on her.
Even though Ray claims that the woman is talking to the cops, it is not clear from the footage whom the woman is speaking with.
“Yeah, illegally selling water without a permit,” the woman said to the person filming the video.
When the person holding the camera said that the young girl was selling water on her own property, the woman replied “It’s not your property” as she walked away.
The footage quickly went viral, and many viewers gave their support for the girl. Even actress Gabrielle Union tweeted: “This woman asks to speak to somebody’s manager on the daily. She permanently wears folks OUT.”
The woman was immediately subjected to online abuse and outrage. Some people were creating memes out of her photo.
Raj has been sharing updates, saying that the little girl is doing great. She also said that even though the woman called the cops, no police came because “clearly it wasn’t that serious.”
She also warned other people about a scammer posing as her and was trying to ask for donations on Twitter. “Y’all please DO NOT send money through that paypal that is somebody pretending to be me,” she wrote.
