A wife has sparked a debate online after sharing a photo of the meal she prepared for her husband.
The photo shows turkey Twizzlers, onion rings, turkey dinosaurs, spaghetti, spring rolls, chicken nuggets, a potato waffle, chips, and a mini margarita pizza.
The woman served the meal with a selection of condiments like tomato ketchup, spicy sriracha, salad cream, and mayo, and a big glass of orange juice.
Her Twitter post quickly went viral and received more than 20,000 comments.
“Why isn’t there a takeaway that sells scran like this?” one person commented.
“Nothing wrong with this meal. I do the same about once a month when I can’t be bothered to cook. I just raid the freezer and do a pile of stuff. We all need a feed like this now and then,” another wrote.
“Heaven,” a third added.
But many others were shocked and horrified by the meal, with one person saying: “I just refuse to believe any caring partner would prepare this simply due to how unhealthy it is. That’s (and I’m estimating) almost 3000 calories. Almost 300g carbs, 135 fat, 110 protein. And the sodium and trans fat levels, Christ. You’ll both die young.”
Another wrote: “Which will get her first – the saline poisoning or the trans fats? Attention seeking in the main, but heart attack and cancer risk in the longterm.”
A third commented: “When you call that a meal you’re trying to be funny right?”
Someone else added: “Well if that makes her happy, good for her. Personally I wouldn’t eat that but each to their own.”
