Shopping online offers the convenience of buying items whenever and wherever it suits you.

But it is also important to be aware of the dangers of buying items online as you do not want to receive counterfeit goods.

One wife was horrified when her husband’s order arrived and even though it was the real deal, she believes that only problems come with it.

45-year-old Selina from Cromer, Hertfordshire, shared how her husband spent £500 ($691) on a heavy suit of armor he saw online.

“It was a Saturday night and Dom had had a few beers and was a bit merry,” she explained.

“He’d initially put in a stupid bid and didn’t expect to win but suddenly it was, like, ‘You’ve won this auction.’

“Guys have certain things on their bucket lists and he’d always wanted a suit of armour.”

She continued: “After he won he looked at me and his face just lit up. He was like a kid.”

Her husband, Dom, then made the 400-mile round trip to get the 150-year-old suit.

“Honestly, it was worth it just for the look on his face. And then the reality hit of ‘where the hell are we going to put this thing?’ The weight of it is incredible.

“Dom’s quite lean and built like a whippet so he fits it alright. I don’t think many other people would be able to wear it.”

She also said that the biggest problem is that the suit attracts so much dust and it is hard to clean.

“It’s quite time consuming to dust, I dread to think what’s lurking in there,” she added.

But despite the problems and annoyance the suit has caused, it is now displayed in the family’s living room.
