Animal rescue videos are always a hit on the internet, especially if they have a happy ending.
It is heartwarming to watch gallant men and women risk their lives to help wild animals in distress and help them find a safer home.
These projects come with a fair share of obstacles. The animals caught in peril and in a vulnerable state are usually scared, mistrustful and aggressive.
If you stumble across any such animal, ensure that you take the necessary precautionary measures and not do anything to further aggravate it.
A small act of kindness can leave a huge impact on the world. In the video linked above, there is yet another successful rescue featured. A group of friends skating on a frozen lake in Sweden discovered a wild boar that was trapped in the ice.
The slippery surface made it impossible for the animal to balance his body and stand up on his feet. After several attempts in vain, the boar was still struggling and wriggling on the surface trying to get his body out of the ice lake.
The situation was an impossible one, and without any external help, this poor creature might never have been able to make it out alive.
The four skaters positioned themselves around the wild boar and used their sticks to help the animal move on ice.
With a little bit of help and support, the boar was soon rescued and managed to find his way out of the frozen lake to safety. Had there been no help, the boar would have probably starved to death or died of thirst struggling alone in that area for a long time.
The boar looked exhausted by the time help eventually arrived in the form of these good Samaritans.
