Think back to that time when you were a kid and were just learning how to draw.
More often than not, you would have handled at least one art booklet that let you connect the dots in order to eventually form the pre-determined drawing. The beginner sets would likely have had numbered dots that you would connect in sequence while more advanced ones would just form a more general template and it would be up to the individual to fill in the missing details.
Either way, although they were simplistic, these trace-type drawings were still fun especially for a kid who was just beginning to learn what it’s like to be creative.
In a bid to recaptured the wonder of this type of experience, Facebook page ‘Smol Animol Memes’ came up with a duck template and asked their followers to “draw a duck and share your art.” And people went wild with their imagination!
The template is simple: a break, an eye, and duck feet on a white background. It’s up to the person to add in what they think the duck should look like and it’s a joy to behold.
Victoria, who currently manages the page’s posts, wanted to tickle the creative side of people and get some humor out of it as well.
She said: “I chose the challenge since I love seeing people’s creativity. It makes me and other people laugh at the drawings that come out and that’s what makes me happy!
“Just coming home after work and seeing all the creations really makes my day.”
Victoria also runs Diabetic Doggos with Kristjan. It’s another hilarious page that’s filled with memes and funny challenges.
“We just really like memes!” Victoria added. “And it has helped us raise money for charity.”
One thing’s for sure. It’s satisfying to know that there are people who haven’t totally let go of the inner child in them!
