Most of us have lost count of the days we’ve been in quarantine, working at home in pajamas and forgetting when we last went outdoors.
It was a normal day at “Good Morning America” on ABC.point 55 | Things were casually done as they should be done, as reporters gave their telecast from their homes while the anchors sat on the set of the GMA.point 173 | Will Reeve was the correspondent for the day, and things seemed a little awkward, but it took several minutes before the general public took delight in what was a simple mistake: Will Reeve forgot to wear long pants on broadcast, and he showed his bare legs for all to see in a live nation-wide broadcast!point 424 | 1
The segment itself was innocuous, as it was surely a very helpful segment that told viewers about the usages of drones and how they would help deliver prescription medicines and much needed supplies to the patients in quarantine.point 302 |
It was supposed to be very solemn, no humor intended as he had worn a very nice suit on top.point 73 | Twitter got the better of him, and the hashtag inundation ensued the moment they noticed his very, ah, “ample and succulent” legs, according to one user.point 213 |
Reeve took it all in good spirit, although we may never know his true reaction.point 65 | He thus tweeted, in blind resignation: “I have ARRIVED… In the most hilariously mortifying way possible.point 170 | ” Reeve had to disappoint some people, with reassuring everyone he’d been wearing shorts, not full commando.point 278 |
He joked that “[I] won’t be getting hired as a camera operator ‘any time soon.point 84 | '”point 92 | 1
Will Reeve happens to be the son of the Superman star, Christopher Reeve and actress Dana, both late couples.point 94 | The former has sadly parted ways with Will early on his life as Christopher passed away in 2004 when his son was just a growing age of 12.point 205 |
It was not the first tragedy to hit the Reeve’s, as Christopher also sustained a complete neck-down paralysis due to a horse riding accident with severe spinal injuries.point 148 | However, the family took it in stride, as they founded the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation that would help similar paralysis patients to get proper research and treatment for their symptoms.point 316 |
The organization is now renamed as the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.point 68 | Will is on the board of directors at the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.point 140 | 1
About the organization, he has once said: “My parents were—and remain—my heroes and role models, so joining the Reeve Foundation board was a natural fit, considering much of my time with my parents was defined by my dad’s life with a spinal cord injury with my mom as his primary caregiver. My involvement was never something I really thought about; it was just something that existed from the time I was a young child, and progressed organically.”
