After the funeral service planned by Prince Philip himself, the feuding brothers were seen talking again, thanks to the peacemaker Duchess of Cambridge.
Prince Harry and Prince William were seen chatting and looked relaxed in each other’s company as they walked from St. George’s Chapel to Windsor Castle.
It was Kate Middleton who created the way for one of the most awaited reconciliations in years, the Daily Mail reported.
As members of the Royal family walk out of the chapel, Harry chatted with Kate while William spoke to the Right Reverend David Connor in front.
The royals then started walking up the hill when William, who was ahead of his wife, paused to speak to the Duchess while Harry exchanged pleasantries with Connor.
Harry then caught up with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the three of them walked together. William removed his face mask before Kate slowly moved away to speak to the Countess of Wessex and her daughter Lady Louise – letting the two brothers talk alone.
Just earlier, the brothers had kept hard expressions as they walked behind Prince Philip’s coffin, separated by their cousin Peter Phillips.
William walked ahead of his brother as they entered the chapel but the atmosphere remained frosty when they all got inside.
Sources told the news outlet that Harry has faced “a great deal of frostiness” from many of his relatives since he arrived in UK.
“Ironically the one who has expressed any sympathy towards him is Prince Andrew,” one source said.
“He knows from Sarah Ferguson – and now first-hand – how it feels to be the outsider, which Harry very much is.
“As far as the others are concerned, there is a deep sense of protection towards the Queen and resentment towards Harry. There is little sympathy for him after what he and Meghan said on Oprah.”
But seeing the two brothers talking again after a day of tension was probably the moment that would’ve made their grandfather the happiest.
