The actor is making his return to the war movies in his much-awaited film, Greyhound.
The trailer has dropped on Youtube, and it has already created massive waves.
The movie is based on Novel named The Good Shepherd launched in 1955. Hanks will be starring in the film as Lieutenant Commander Ernest Krause. Along with acting Tom Hanks also served the role of screenwriter for the film.
The film will release on June 12th, 2020, and revolves around a group of 37 Allied ships while they cross across the volatile North Atlantic while being constantly pursued by a pack of German U-boats.
The entire scene takes place during the time of World War II. Captain Krause was given his first command of the US destroyer accompanied by a code name- Greyhound.
Along with Tom Hanks, the movie will also star Elisabeth Shue, Stephen Graham, Karl Glusman, Lee Norris, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.
The movie is apparently based on a real-life event, but the characters in the movie are fictional. According to Uproxx, the movie was filmed on an actual warship named the USS Kidd.
Moreover, Aaron Schneider has directed, and Gary Goetzman has produced the film. As soon as the trailer was dropped, it received some great responses from its fans. People are praising the trailer and Tom Hanks.
A tweet said that if anyone wants to watch a real war movie, then they should definitely book tickets for Greyhound. Earlier, the movie was planned to release on May 8th, 2020, but now it will be released on June 12th, 2020.
