The news agency, 10News, met Sole on F street downtown in San Diego and she showed them the places where she used to sleep.
On that day, she sang a bunch of songs for the 10News crew and all of them showcased her singing talent on an advanced level.
Sole was living on the streets of San Diego after her divorce, which left her emotionally and financially broken.
“I found myself in tears a lot. It was a wrenching situation,” Sole said.
Through all the hard and struggling times, the talented lady had faith in her music. She learned to sing as a child and had continued to sing and write songs ever since.
“Music gave me hope to the effect that I never stopped going, never stopped pushing,” Sole told KGTV.
One of Sole’s singing clips from the 10News interview got more than a million views on YouTube. She migrated to Dallas in 2015 and finally got a job as a city bus driver.
A few years back, she founded her own fashion accessories brand and just recently, she bought a home for herself.
“It’s hard to believe, but dreams do come true,” Sole opined.
Sole’s biggest dream came true just a few weeks ago when after a large number of tries and years of sending samples of her singing to music distributors, her song about heartbreak, love, and survival, “Above the Clouds,” was finally selected by a distributor for commercial release.
Explaining her happiness for having her song selected, Sole said that she “started shouting and jumping around the house. Overwhelmed with such joy.”
The song is going to be released on a number of music platforms including Google Play on the coming Saturday.
“Never give up. You keep going, you keep pushing, you keep believing,” Sole advised.
